James Clifford Adams, 96, died on June 12, 2011. He lived in New York City and Beach Haven, N.J., before moving to Clifton, N.J. He was an attorney for the Office of General Counsel of the Department of the Navy, Regional Council for the North East Region, Staten Island, N.Y., from 1946 to 1982 before retiring. Also, he was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. He was a past president of the Webster’s Lagoons Association of Beach Haven, the Beach Haven Exchange Club, and the Jewish Community Center of Long Beach Island. He was a member of the American Bar Association and the Federal Bar Association.
