Q: My profile currently has an expiration date of 9/30/2025 — am I still a member?
A:
YES! There is a grace period built into the renewal season as members and/or firms finalize membership renewal payment. Memberships are recognized as In Good Standing through 12/31/2025 during the grace period, unless the member has specifically resigned their membership or other similar decisive action.


Q: When can I renew?
A: Renewal for the 2025-26 renewal cycle is now available!

Note: Please go through the one-time process HERE to verify your FBA account login in the new Online Portal to ensure a successful renewal.

Q: I was previously on autopayment in the old system; did my payment information transfer to the new Online Portal?
A: NO! If you opted into autopayment of membership dues before 7/1/2025, please note that your autopayment selection was reset as the FBA upgraded to a new database and website; credit card information was not part of the upgrade process to comply with financial security measures.

It’s easy to add a credit card to your FBA account for payment of dues: (a) go through one-time account login setup process listed above, (b) log in at www.fedbar.org after successful verification, (c) in the What Would You Like to Do? area, click on SET UP AUTO RENEWAL and go through the steps!

Q: Did I renew successfully?
A: Here’s the way to check if your membership was renewed successfully: after verifying your Online Portal account per the above steps, log into your account – your Expiration Date will be prominent on your Account Home Screen – if your expiration date still says 9/30/2025, then you need to renew.

**Please allow up to two weeks for mailed renewal payments to get processed.

Q: I keep getting renewal messages but I thought my firm/organization already renewed my membership?
A: It can take a few days to go from your organization’s internal check/payment request, to delivery, to bank processing, and then to FBA staff  processing. If your organization has sent an internal message that your membership has been addressed, please disregard any renewal communications while payment is in transit.

Q: Where do I send payment by mail?
A: Checks for any type of FBA payment (membership, events, donations) should be made payable to Federal Bar Association and sent to:
