Phelps Dunbar partner Allen C. Miller was recently honored by the New Orleans publication Gambit Weekly as one of the city’s most accomplished citizens under the age of 40. The “40 Under 40,” now in its 15th year, recognizes members of New Orleans who have worked to make their community a better place to live and work.

Mr. Miller has served as the president of the New Orleans chapter of Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) for the past three years, where he has made a major initiative of his leadership role to ensure that every child in need of care receives proper representation. He is also on the executive committee of the Odyssey House Board of Directors, where he dedicates his time to making sure that adults and adolescents in desperate need of medically-supported detox and behavioral health services receive high quality care and that children with addicted mothers are given housing, schooling and support services.
