Chapter Activity Awards

Award applications are Open

All FBA chapters are encouraged to complete the application for the Chapter Activity Awards. The FBA recognizes the diligent work and accomplishments that outstanding have made throughout the year. Awards will be given to all chapters whose applications demonstrate that the chapter has fulfilled the established criteria. Two levels of recognition are awarded: Presidential Excellence and Presidential Achievement. Awards will be based on the following criteria:

Excellence – Awarded to chapters that excel in all areas and go above and beyond the minimum requirements of chapters.

Achievement – Awarded to chapters that meet the basic requirements of chapters and provide benefits to the members of their chapter.

The awards committee may award presidential citations to those chapters that don’t qualify for either of the Chapter Activity Awards categories but have held an outstanding event or program in the last year.

Up to three chapters from the Presidential Excellence level may be chosen as Chapter of the Year. This award is presented to the chapters that have most effectively demonstrated their support and promotion of the Federal Bar Association’s objectives as reflected in chapter programs and membership related efforts. These chapters receive special recognition at the Annual Meeting and Convention and in The Federal Lawyer.

Awards will cover the operations and achievements of FBA chapters for the past award year (June 1–May 31). Please limit your responses to activities that occurred during this time. We encourage the inclusion of virtual programming such as webinars and online presentations. Explanations should be detailed enough to give the awards committee an accurate picture of your chapters activity.
