Kickoff Event and Naturalization Ceremony
On November 10, 2016, the Southern District of Georgia Chapter held its Kickoff Event and Naturalization Ceremony in Savannah, Georgia. Judge Denny Chin of the Second Circuit Court of Appeals did a wonderful job sharing his personal story at the naturalization ceremony, and he also spoke at the Savannah Law School to students and faculty. We also had a local high school’s all girls a cappella chorus, The Skylarks, perform the National Anthem and America the Beautiful. The chapter and the FBA Foundation hosted a cocktail reception at the ceremony, and the officers then took Judge Chin to dinner afterwards. It was a wonderful event, and we hope to build off of it for future events and programs.
