On June 3, 2021 from noon – 1 p.m., the Federal Bar Association Chapter for the Districts of Kansas & Western Missouri is sponsoring a 1-hour CLE called Legal Writing: A Judge’s Perspective. Our esteemed presenter will be the Honorable Robert E. Bacharach of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit. As some of you may know, Judge Bacharach is a frequent, sought-after speaker and the author of the popular book Legal Writing: A Judge’s Perspective on the Science and Rhetoric of the Written Word. Judge Bacharach was kind enough to present at a similar event one year ago and the event was tremendously popular – some of you may have attended.
The Honorable Robert E. Bacharach of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit.
Judge Bacharach authored the popular book Legal Writing: A Judge’s Perspective on the Science and Rhetoric of the Written Word. Judge Bacharach received his B.A. from the University of Oklahoma in 1981 and his J.D. from the Washington University School of Law in 1985. Judge Bacharach was a Law Clerk to the Hon. William J. Holloway, Jr., U.S. Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit, from 1985-1987. From 1987-1999, Judge Bacharach was engaged in private practice in Oklahoma City. From 1999-2013, Judge Bacharach was a U.S. Magistrate Judge in the U.S. District Court, Western District of Oklahoma. Judge Bacharach was nominated by Barack Obama on January 4, 2013, to serve on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit and received his commission on February 28, 2013.
