Harvey Weiner

Harvey Weiner is a decorated and 100% disabled Vietnam War Army combat veteran, who has been at his Boston law firm as a litigator for over 50 years. Since becoming Senior Counsel in 2017, he has devoted most of his efforts and practice to advocating pro bono for veterans in a variety of contexts. Each year, he has continued and expanded the Massachusetts Wills for Veterans program that National FBA initiated when he was Massachusetts Chapter president. He trains veterans, soldiers and those who work with veterans in mediation skills in a program titled Veterans Mediation and run by Home Front Strong. He is a member of the Advisory Committee of the Veterans and Servicemembers Forum of the Boston Bar Association. He mentors veterans who are law students.

As Past National Commander and Past National Judge Advocate of the Jewish War Veterans of the USA, America’s oldest active veterans’ association, he facilitates and/or assists in drafting amicus briefs on veterans’ issues before SCOTUS and other appellate courts around the country. He won a veterans’ benefits case before the Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims and had his firm donate the legal fees awarded to veterans’ organizations. This year, Harvey was inducted into the MLW Massachusetts Lawyers Hall of Fame.
