Emily is a second-year law student at the Wake Forest University School of Law, where she is Founder and President of the Federal Bar Association chapter on campus. She is an active member of the Veterans Advocacy and Legal Organization (VALOR), Women in Law, and pro bono Wills Project, and her work as a Research Assistant focuses on improving access to VA benefits for survivors of military sexual trauma. Emily became involved with the Federal Bar Association during her summer internship with the U.S. Army JAG Corps, where she attended events and networked with members in Washington, DC. Having identified a gap in resources and programming for students pursuing federal government and public interest careers, Emily chartered a chapter of the FBA on campus to support students with similar goals. Prior to law school, she worked for the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on the Budget and Kirkland & Ellis LLP. Emily has been selected for early commission and will enter the JAG Corps upon graduation in 2026. Outside the classroom, she enjoys antiquing, hiking, and rock climbing.
