Anthony Phan is a part-time/evening 2L at The American University Washington College of Law (WCL).
Before law school, Anthony received his Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology from The Catholic University of America (CUA). He began his on-campus involvement as a Third-Degree Knight on the Community Service Committee of the Knights of Columbus, providing food and water to the homeless and restoring historic churches throughout Washington, D.C. Anthony became an Orientation Advisor in his second year to help first-year students transition into college. These formative experiences shaped his enthusiasm for community building.
Anthony has been a blog reporter for a local government agency in Montgomery County, Maryland. He concurrently served as a promotions team member for a television station in D.C. Upon graduating from CUA, Anthony became a chemical analyst at a compressed gas distributor. He then interned at a nonprofit organization. After his internship, Anthony joined the federal government, where he remains.
He continued his education to earn a Master of Business Administration from The American University Kogod School of Business. While there, Anthony completed legal studies electives through WCL, whose faculty inspired him to study law. Anthony is a proud double Eagle who has contributed to the law campus as the Treasurer of the Tech, Law, and Security Society and a Junior Staffer on the Alumni Staff of the National Security Law Brief.
Beyond his academic and professional aspirations, Anthony is passionate about film and cinema, photography, creative writing, live music, and travel—both domestic and international.
