Minnesota Chapter: Mass Tort & Complex Litigation Seminar

The Minnesota Chapter of the FBA and its Mass Tort and Class Action Practice Group are offering a seminar on MDL and Complex Litigation on March 18, 2020, at the Diana E. Murphy U.S. Courthouse in Minneapolis, Minnesota. This program is sponsored by the Federal Bar Association Federal Litigation Section and Younger Lawyers Division.

Our speakers include MDL Panel Judge R. David Proctor from the Northern District of Alabama and Professor Jaime L. Dodge, Director of The Institute for Complex Litigation and Mass Claims at Emory University School of Law in Atlanta. Participating judges from the District of Minnesota include Chief Judge John R. Tunheim, Judge Michael J. Davis, Judge Donovan W. Frank, Judge Joan N. Ericksen and Magistrate Judge Hildy Bowbeer. Minnesota State Court Judge Laurie Miller will join a panel discussion entitled Syngenta: The Settlement Story.

Other topics include national views on MDL trends, rules and procedures governing MDL and complex litigation, perspectives on early vetting, case coordination, case management, and bellwether selection. For more information, see the link to the program and speaker list below.
