Welcome to the Judiciary Division — the FBA’s home for federal, state, administrative, tribal, and military judges, as well as clerks of court and law clerks. It is my honor to serve as Chair for the 2025–26 year. I step into this role humbled by the remarkable leadership of my predecessors, who have set a high standard with thoughtful programming for both judges and practitioners. My goal is to build upon their accomplishments while continuing to expand opportunities for connection, learning, and service.
At its core, the Judiciary Division is dedicated to strengthening the administration of justice. We do this by representing the interests of our members, fostering collaboration across the FBA, offering educational programming, and supporting chapters in their work. Membership is open to any FBA member in good standing who serves as a judge, law clerk, or in court administration. Our active committees ensure that every member can contribute in meaningful ways.

Our current initiatives reflect both tradition and innovation. We are proud to continue expanding the Judicial Intern Academy, offering educational programs such as webinars and CLEs, and producing the Pathways to the Bench podcast. We are also exploring new civics programming, supporting judicial wellness and security, and standing ready to meet emerging needs as they arise.
The strength of our Division lies in the energy, insight, and commitment of its members. We warmly invite you to get involved — whether by joining a committee, sharing ideas, or participating in our programs. Together, we can advance the work of the judiciary and the mission of the FBA.
I look forward to working alongside you in the year ahead. Please feel free to reach out to me or to Sections and Divisions Director, Mike McCarthy, with any questions or to learn more about how you can participate.
Thank you!
Sincerely yours,
Suzanne Mitchell
