Webinar: How to Host a Zoom Brown Bag Lunch with Your Local Judges

FBA members who attend this webinar will be able to easily put together webinars.  Our case study is how to host brown bag lunches with local judges.  FBA San Diego Chapter Past-President David Finn will show you how to how to create a Chapter website that allows you to create, promote, and benefit from hosting virtual educational events on Zoom! The benefits to your chapter are membership engagement, retention, and recruitment. These events can also generate income. In 2020, the FBA San Diego Chapter hosted 18 webinars that drew over 6,000 attendees and resulted in over 15,000 chapter website visits!


About the Presenter

David P. Finn, Assistant United States Attorney, United States Attorney’s Office, Southern District of California

David P. Finn served as the President of the San Diego Chapter from January to December 2020. He has served on the Board of Directors of the San Diego Chapter from 2017 to the present.  He is an Assistant United States Attorney in the Criminal Division of the United States Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of California. He has tried over 40 federal jury trials and argued 8 cases before the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. In August 2020, he was selected to serve as the national Border and Immigration Legal Issues Coordinator within the Department of Justice.  He has received numerous professional awards, including: the Department of Justice’s Director’s Award for Superior Performance in 2014, the Federal Bar Association’s Younger Lawyer Award in 2015, and the Federal Bar Association’s Chapter Activity Award for Presidential Achievement in 2020.  He is a frequent instructor at the Department of Justice’s National Advocacy Center where he teaches classes on trial advocacy and border issues.  Since 2012, he has volunteered for Reality Changers, a San Diego non-profit serving aspiring first generation college students, where he is an Action Team member and a certified mentor. He is a graduate of the University of California, San Diego and California Western School of Law.
