Webinar: COVID-19 Healthcare Update: The CARES Act – Saving the Care Continuum

April 24, 2020 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Home health, hospice and nursing home providers are facing extraordinary challenges in providing patient care during the COVID crisis. Putting patients over paperwork, federal and state health care agencies have responded urgently with unprecedented regulatory waivers, expanded telehealth medicine options and enforcement discretion from Stark Law to HIPAA. The CARES Act and CMS’s implementing interim final rule (IFR) issued March 30, 2020 is a public health battle plan to help all healthcare industry sectors fight the pandemic for patients. The webinar will cover its key healthcare provisions, including:

  • Expansion of telehealth medicine
  • Advanced or accelerated Medicare payments to providers
  • Expansion of non-physician scope of practice
  • Update on Medicare and Medicaid Waivers
  • Changes to Quality and Other Mandatory Reporting
  • Challenges to the Care Continuum
