South Florida Chapter: Changing the Game – Name, Image, and Likeness Laws and the Future of College Sports

Any fan of college athletics knows the game has changed. Emboldened by the Supreme Court’s decision in NCAA v. Alston, 141 S. Ct. 2141 (2021), top high school recruits and transfers are inking multi-million dollar endorsement deals, changing the landscape of college recruiting.
On Thursday, September 22, 2022, at noon, the South Florida Chapter of the Federal Bar Association will host a panel at the University of Miami to discuss this new era of college athletics. Judge Raag Singhal will moderate a discussion with legal experts in the NIL field, including Dan Raben, University of Miami Associate Athletic Director for Compliance, Josie Leinart, of the law firm of Munck Wilson Mandala, and Peter Schoenthal, CEO of Athliance, a company focused on Name, Image, and Likeness legal issues and compliance.
