Sacramento Chapter: The Magistrate Judge’s Role in Federal Civil Cases

Join us on Monday, June 16, 2025 at the Justice Anthony M. Kennedy Learning Center for our first in-person CLE program of the year, “The Magistrate Judge’s Role in Federal Civil Cases,” presented by Hon. Carolyn K. Delaney, Hon. Chi Soo Kim, and Hon. Sean C. Riordan. The panel will discuss the benefits of proceeding before a United States magistrate judge for all purposes in civil cases in federal district court, including for motion practice and trial, as well as settlement conference procedures. The panel will also address changes to the district court’s consent procedures and Local Rules. Questions from attendees are welcome and encouraged.
Please RSVP by June 9. In-person seating is limited and will be on a first-registration basis. Boxed lunches will be served. A Zoom option will be provided for those who cannot attend in-person. 1 hour of CLE credit pending.
