Los Angeles Chapter: Best Practices for SEC White-Collar Attorneys

Event Description:
This panel of experienced SEC practitioners will discuss the strategy and knowledge essential to a successful white-collar practice in the SEC arena. The speakers will address the nuances of SEC litigation as it compares to conventional civil litigation and white-collar criminal proceedings, including the SEC process and available remedies. The speakers will also address the strategies inherent in navigating parallel SEC and criminal proceedings, including dealing with potential Fifth Amendment and joint representation issues. Finally, the speakers will share lessons learned from recent high profile trials and their thoughts on how to prepare yourself as an SEC practitioner for the next four years.
