John W. Peck Cincinnati-Northern KY Chapter: Federal Practice Seminar for the Southern District of Ohio

The United States District Court for the Southern District of Ohio Federal Practice Seminar is open to all attorneys, including those already admitted to practice in the Southern District of Ohio and those seeking admission. This seminar is specially designed for lawyers seeking admission to practice in the Southern District of Ohio. Speakers will discuss practice before the District Judges and Magistrate Judges, and practice in Bankruptcy Court. Speakers will also discuss the Local Rules, the Federal Rules of Criminal Procedure, and the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure.

All attorneys seeking admission to the bar of the United States District Court for the Southern District of Ohio must attend one such seminar. It is offered twice per year in Cincinnati. The Swearing In of newly admitted attorneys will take place at the conclusion of the Federal Practice Seminar.

In accordance with Local Rule 83.3(c)(1), attorneys seeking admission to the Southern District of Ohio should:

• Register for and attend the Federal Bar Association’s seminar; and
• After the seminar, submit a request through PACER for admission and include a Certificate of Good Standing from the Ohio Supreme court (issued within the last 2 months).

The Court will email a payment link upon verification of seminar attendance and Ohio Supreme Court admittance. Upon payment, the Court will add filing privileges to your individual PACER account and mail a certificate to you.
