Ofelia L. Calderón, Founding Partner at Calderón Seguin PLC in Fairfax, Virginia

Ofelia L. Calderón is a founding member of Calderón Seguin PLC. She is the immediate past chair of the DC Chapter of the American Immigration Lawyers Association. In addition to maintaining a diverse practice which includes family, naturalization, business, and asylum, Ofelia concentrates on federal matters and removal cases. Outside her practice, Ofelia is a fervent advocate for the immigration community and is a frequent speaker locally and nationally. She is a Board Member of the Legal Aid Justice Center, while maintaining membership with the National Immigration Project, CAIR Coalition, and the Virginia Women Attorneys Association. She also served as past President of the Hispanic Bar Association of Virginia. Ofelia graduated from the University of Maryland with a bachelor’s degree in Political Science in 1995 and received her law degree from the University Of San Francisco School Of Law in 2001. Ofelia is a member of the Bar of Maryland, the Commonwealth of Virginia, and the District of Columbia.

 

 

 

Magaly Rojas Cheng, Partner at Clark Lau LLC in Boston, Massachusetts

Magaly Rojas Cheng is a partner at Clark Lau LLC in Boston, Massachusetts. She counsels employers and employees on various immigrant and non-immigrant processes. She also assists clients in obtaining permanent residence, with a particular emphasis on PERM labor certification applications.  She enjoys working closely with clients to understand their objectives and provide a clear strategy to help accomplish them. Prior to joining Clark Lau LLC, she was an immigration attorney in Worcester, Massachusetts, where she assisted clients with family- and employment-based petitions and permanent residence applications including consular visa applications. As an active member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA), she serves as a member of the Department of State Liaison Committee.

 

 

 

 Daniel Carpenter, Partner at Clark Lau LLC in Boston, Massachusetts

Daniel Carpenter is a partner at Clark Lau LLC in Boston, Massachusetts. He works with businesses and individuals by providing legal counsel on a range of immigrant and non-immigrant options. As a U.S. military veteran, he understands the importance of loyalty and integrity, and exhibits those principles while representing clients. Whether it is discussing options regarding the employment of foreign nationals, pursuit of careers in the U.S., or U.S. citizenship, Daniel is committed to delivering the highest quality of legal representation. He is an active member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) and serves on their Military Committee. Recently he has contributed as an updating author for “Anatomy of Form ETA-9089: An Item-by-Item Discussion”, chapter in “AILA’s Guide to PERM Labor Certification”.
