Hybrid: Lafayette-Acadiana Chapter: 19th Annual Judge John M. Shaw Civility & Ethics Seminar
The purpose of the annual Judge John M. Shaw Civility & Ethics Seminar is to encourage and reinforce an ethos of professionalism and civility among federal practitioners, remembering that those principles do not conflict with the obligations attendant on zealous advocacy.
Speakers
Hon. David J. Ayo (Magistrate Judge, Western District of Louisiana) will speak on “Views from the Bench on Professionalism.” Jerome H. Moroux will speak on “Failure, Fanfare, and Fear: Civil Practice and the U.S. Civil War.” Finally, Leslie J. Schiff will speak on “Recent Developments in Louisiana Legal Ethics.”
