Qui Tam Section: [VIRTUAL] Working with Smaller Federal Agencies on FCA Cases
**Program hosted in (ET) Time Zone**
While False Claims Act practitioners are typically familiar with the many qui tam matters that arise in programs such as health care and procurement, niche agencies less familiar FCA investigations do receive allegations of FCA violations involving their programs. Our panelists will discuss how to work with agency personnel investigating a qui tam complaint or other FCA allegations at agencies with lower volumes of FCA matters. Panelists will discuss, among other topics, challenges relators face in pursuing claims involving niche agencies, unique avenues of defense or challenges defendants face, and how the DOJ, agency, and IG approach strategic advantages and challenges presented in these cases.
