Qui Tam Section: [VIRTUAL] The FCA for Private Insurance?

May 14, 2025 @ 12:00 pm - 1:30 pm

**Program hosted in (ET) Time Zone**

On August 1, 2024, DOJ announced its “Corporate Whistleblower Awards Pilot Program,” which offers awards for reports that lead to criminal or civil forfeitures of over $1 million. The program covers four subject areas, one of which is federal health care offenses involving private or other non-public health care benefit programs. False Claims Act practitioners have long litigated whistleblower complaints regarding public health care benefit programs. Now, they must now consider the possibility of whistleblower reports relating to non-public programs. This panel will explain the details of the Corporate Whistleblower Awards Pilot Program and analyze its implications for False Claims Act practitioners.
