Qui Tam Section: [VIRTUAL] The DOJ’s Civil Cyber-Fraud Initiative: Three Years Later

The Department of Justice launched its Civil Cyber-Fraud Initiative in October 2021. What has happened the last three years? The panel will discuss lessons learned during the infancy of the initiative, including the type of cases that have led to FCA recoveries, paths to establishing fraud, the theories to quantify damages, and some of the relevant regulatory regimes. The panel will also discuss self-reporting considerations and what to look for in the future.
