Qui Tam Section: [VIRTUAL] Healthcare Referral Arrangements Under the AKS – Updates from Government Attorneys

Since the 1980s, there has been a proliferation of new types of arrangements between healthcare providers and referring physicians. During this same period, there has also been a proliferation in government “guidance documents” which purport to describe arrangements that the government believes may be particularly prone to waste, fraud, and abuse. This panel will explore some of the recent litigated cases against the new forms of remuneration arrangements with the government attorneys who were responsible for those cases.
