Please join us for another interactive session between two respected maritime lawyers with years of experience in salvage law. Our discussion will center on contract salvage and SALCON 89. Topics will include the ability of SALCON 89 to supersede the Blackwall factors, US Coast Guard involvement in contract salvage and attorneys fees.

Aaron Greenbaum is a founding member of Pusateri, Johnston, Guillot & Greenbaum, LLC located in New Orleans, LA. Aaron is a Proctor in Admiralty, a member of the Federal Bar Association, and he recently served as Chair of the Admiralty and Maritime Committee for the American Bar Association’s Tort Trial & Insurance Practice Section. His practice covers a wide range of brown and blue water maritime matters, including Jones Act defense, insurance coverage, attachment and arrest, collisions and casualties, towage, and salvage disputes.

John K. Fulweiler, Jr. is an experienced maritime attorney and is recognized as a Proctor-In-Admiralty by the Maritime Law Association of the United States. He has the helm of his own maritime law firm with its office in Newport, Rhode Island and which represents individuals and claimants on the East and Gulf Coasts. John possesses significant experience in successfully prosecuting claims for salvage, maritime personal injury and wrongful death. In addition, John has pursued class action status in maritime product liability matters. Licensed to practice law in numerous jurisdictions including Rhode Island, New York and Florida, John excels in the courtroom blending his legal skills with his practical maritime experience as a licensed United States Coast Guard mariner. He is often in the media writing regularly for various maritime publications and as an expert in maritime legal matters on television, radio and the internet.
