2021 FBA Annual Meeting & Convention Miami

September 23, 2021 - September 25, 2021

Convention is Hybrid!

The South Florida Chapter is excited to host to the FBA 2021 Annual Meeting & Convention in MIAMI this September 23-25. We look forward to hosting attendees online and in-person. Several CLE sessions and business meetings will be streaming virtually.

Registrants will receive a welcome email on Monday (9/20) with program information. Attendees will then receive a detailed morning email each date of the convention about the day’s events, including virtual streaming credentials. Dress code for the conference is business casual. Cocktail attired is encourage for Saturday evening’s Installation Reception.

2021 Annual Meeting & Convention attendees that plan to attend the event in-person will be required to consent to review and agree to the Statement of Understanding, Consent Form, and Liability Waiver prior to arrival onsite. Click Here to view our event safety protocols.

Virtual Governance Meetings – There is no fee for members to virtually attend governance meetings. Leaders will be provided virtual credentials in advance of the conference date. 


Statement of Understanding, Consent Form, and Liability Waiver: 2021 Annual Meeting & Convention attendees that plan to attend the event in-person will be required to consent to review and agree to the Statement of Understanding, Consent Form, and Liability Waiver prior to arrival onsite. Registration refunds can be issued if an attendee will not agree to the terms of the Statement of Understanding, Consent Form, and Liability Waiver.

Cancellation Policy: Full registration refunds will be processed for cancellations received by Friday, September 10. Registrants may change their in-person registration to virtual at any time, and partial refunds will be issued if transfer requests are received by Friday, September 10. No-shows will be billed. Please email meetings@fedbar.org with questions and registration change requests.

Internet Requirements: Virtual programs require suitable internet strength to stream online panels with the Virtual Access Package. A minimum internet connection of 800 Kbps is recommended for an optimal attendee experience. Test your connection here.


CLE

Attendees can receive up to 7 CLE credits (8.4 credits for 50-min states).

[NEW!] CLE Credit will be tracked via an online web application (ConferenceAdit) for in-person and virtual attendees. Attendees requesting CLE credit are required to check-in and check-out of each session. The CLE tracking site can be accessed directly via link (www.conferenceadit.com/fbacon21) or through the mobile app’s “CLE Tracking” icon. Attendees should login with the email and zip code affiliated with their registration.

Certificates will be sent via email approximately two weeks following the event.

Virtual Attendance: Credit will be available for states that allow live webinar presentations. Attendees must attend the live broadcast, answer engagement polls, and track attendance via ConferenceAdit site to receive credit (see note above).


Travel & Housing

A discounted block of rooms has been reserved for conference attendees at the Hilton Miami Downtown (1601 Biscayne Blvd, Miami, FL 33132) at $179/night (plus state and local taxes). Any reservations received after the cut-off date (August 31, 2021), will be accepted directly on a room-type and rate-available basis. FBA Leaders can reference Policy No. 2-3 for travel reimbursement guidelines.
