Robert C. Mueller

Robert Mueller is currently a member of the Federal Bar Building Corporation’s (FBBC) Board of Directors and has served the following terms: 1998–2004, 2005-2011, and 2012–2015. During his leadership roles with FBBC, as either President or Vice-President, he led the Board of Directors to address and grapple with economic and other fiscal difficulties relating to ownership of the FBA Headquarters building on M Street, N.W., in Washington DC. Those efforts led to the sale of that building and the search for and acquisition of the current FBA Headquarters office condominium in Arlington, VA. Mr. Mueller led the Board’s effort to develop principles of sound stewardship of FBBC investments for the purpose of supporting the new condominium headquarters.

Mr. Mueller served as the National President of the Federal Bar Association (FBA) from 1997-1998. Prior to that, as a member of the Executive Committee Mr. Mueller served two years in succession as the Section Coordinator, then as Deputy Secretary, Secretary, Treasurer, Vice President, and President-elect. Earlier, Mr. Mueller served as the Federal Career Service Section Chairman and served as the National Membership Chairman for two years. Also, Mr. Mueller served as the National Constitution and Bylaws Committee Chairman for two years, during which the FBA’s Constitution and Bylaws were completely re-written and adopted by the National Council. In addition to these roles, Mr. Mueller served as the FBA Vice President for the Fourth Circuit and as a member of the Pentagon Chapter Board of Directors.

Mr. Mueller has participated in a number of professional and community leadership roles. He is currently the President and owner of RCM Mediation Services, LLC, and he was the principal architect of the mandatory mediation program of the Queen Anne’s County (Maryland) Circuit Court. Mr. Mueller has served as a member of the Maryland State Bar Association (MSBA) Board of Governors and as Chairman of the MSBA Alternate Dispute Resolution Section. He also was a member of the Queen Anne’s County, Maryland, Ethics Commission for eight years, during seven of which he was the chairman. Mr. Mueller also has served as the president of his Condominium Homeowners’ Association in Annapolis, MD, for five years. Currently, Mr. Mueller serves as President of the Queen Anne’s County, Maryland, Animal Control Commission.
