Judge Newman was FBA National President from 2016–2017. Judge Calabrese is former president of the FBA Northern District of Ohio Chapter, and Judge Knepp featured author of The Federal Lawyer.

Members of PACER User Group Selected
Twelve people from diverse backgrounds in the law, media, government, and academia have been selected for a new public user group to provide advice and feedback on ways to improve the Public Access to Court Electronic Records (PACER) service and other electronic public access services provided by the Judiciary. Jodi Dishman, Past President of FBA Oklahoma City Chapter, Confirmed as District Judge (WD-OK)
The U.S. Senate on December 19, 2019 confirmed Jodi Dishman to the federal district judgeship of the Western District of Oklahoma on a 75-17 vote. Judge Dishman is the past president of the Oklahoma City Chapter of the Federal Bar Association. Press coverage on her confirmation is here.
Judiciary Announces Amendments to the Federal Rules of Practice and Procedure
On December 3, 2019, the Administrative Office of the U.S. Courts announced the Supreme Court’s adoption of amendments to the Federal Rules of Appellate, Bankruptcy, and Criminal Procedure, the Rules of Evidence, the Rules Governing Section 2254 Cases in the United States District Courts, and the Rules Governing Section 2255.
