Rich Lee

Rich is the CEO and Co-Founder of New Era ADR, a fast-growing VC-backed dispute resolution technology company that eliminates gamesmanship in litigation. He served on the executive team, led legal, cybersecurity, and compliance, and helped lead and evolve the company through rapid growth (600%+ in his tenure) and over $50M in funding. Prior to Civis, Rich was SVP, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary at Livevol, a financial technology company that he helped to build, grow, and sell to CBOE Holdings (BATS: CBOE).

Rich also serves as an advisor, board member, and investor in technology startups and venture capital funds and in a leadership role in the Economic Club of Chicago. Passionate about solving the access to justice gap in the United States, Rich also serves on the national Leader’s Council of the Legal Services Corporation (a U.S. Senate-funded 501c3) and on the board of Illinois Legal Aid Online. He holds a J.D. from Loyola University Chicago School of Law and a B.S. in Bioengineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

Natalie Armstrong-Motin

Mrs. Armstrong-Motin is the author of “The Essential Guide to Marketing Your ADR Practice”. She is frequently invited to speak around the globe on the successful marketing strategies of the resolution and legal industry. As a personal consultant to many of the premier providers in the ADR industry, her company, Marketing Resolution, has designed and developed hundreds of campaigns for private practices, firms, educational institutions, authors, organizations and associations around the world.

She provides free marketing seminars known as Marketing Monday each week on YouTube (https://www.youtube.com/c/NatalieArmstrongMotin), LinkedIn (www.linkedin.com/in/marketingresolution) and Twitter @MarketingADR.

Mrs. Armstrong-Motin has received certificates in both Mediation and Arbitration from the Institute of Conflict Management and International Mediation from both Tulane University School of Law and Humboldt University School of Law in Berlin Germany. She has received nearly 150 hours in training in numerous national and international mediation, arbitration and communication courses. Mrs. Armstrong-Motin’s professional education background is in conflict resolution, sociology and criminal psychology.

She was Vice President of the Southern California Mediation Association and Chair of the Membership Committee, a member of the Board of the London Club, and has served on the Board of the California Dispute Resolution Council. For the American Bar Association’s Dispute Resolution Section she served as Vice-Chair of Practice Development Committee, as the Co-Chair of the Standing Committee for Practice, Business and Skills Development, and is currently a Vice-Chair on the Marketing Committee.

Mrs. Armstrong-Motin is the founder of the Will Work For Food (www.WillWorkForFood.news) initiative bringing timely topics to attorneys, mediators, and arbitrators each week and raising money for food banks worldwide (more than $270k to date).

Winter Wheeler

Winter is a former top civil litigator who has made her niche as an expert mediator. She is sought out for her unique, compassionate, and successful style handling complex matters that involve a diverse range of cultures, including Spanish speaking clients.

Winter is the creator of The Four Cornerstones of Mediation™, which she introduced to the world in her first TEDx talk in March 2021. She has turned that methodology into a 14-hour mediation and certification course. Winter’s second TEDx talk titled, “Confessions of a Mom Who Has It All,” was given in June 2021. She is co-author of the bestselling book, #Networked, as well as ​the creator and host of The Mediate Now™ podcast.

Janice Sperow

Janice Sperow is an independent full-time arbitrator, Hearing Officer, mediator, Special Master, discovery referee, and Judge Pro Tem. With over 35 years of service as an arbitrator, Ms. Sperow brings extensive experience and analytical depth to resolve disputes fairly, efficiently, and cost-effectively. Known for her responsiveness and well-managed cases, Ms. Sperow specializes in commercial, employment, emerging technology, healthcare, transportation, life sciences, trade, financial services, mass claims, intellectual property, PAGA, and expedited disputes. Experienced in remote hearings, Ms. Sperow serves on videoconference, documents only, in person, and hybrid hearings worldwide. She has been appointed as an arbitrator and/or mediator for CPR, the American Arbitration Association, the World Intellectual Property Organization, FINRA, the American Health Law Association, the International Chamber of Commerce, NFA, NAM, San Diego Superior Court, New Era ADR, Resolute Systems, and more. She began her career as an extern for the Hon. J Clifford Wallace of the 9th Circuit and as a judicial law clerk for the Hon. Richard J. Cardamone of the 2nd Circuit. Ms. Sperow writes and speaks on a wide range of ADR topics and actively participates in several dispute resolution associations and think tanks. Bryan J. Branon (Session Organizer)

Bryan J. Branon is the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb) Regional Relationship Manager for the Americas. In this role, Bryan is responsible for promoting CIArb and its membership through trainings, partnerships, publications and educational programming opportunities within the CIArb Americas seven-Branch region (Bahamas, Bermuda, Brazil, Canada, Caribbean, New York and North America).

Prior to assuming this post, Bryan owned his own international ADR practice and consultancy, Branon’s ADR, and has worked for leading international ADR providers where he helped found the Afghanistan Center for Dispute Resolution, the Bahrain Chamber for Dispute Resolution and the International Mediation Institute. Additionally, Bryan is an active leader at the FBA where he Co-Chairs the FBA Diversity and Inclusion Committee Membership Subcommittee and is the Immediate Past-Chair of the FBA Section of Alternative Dispute Resolution.
