By attending an event held by the Federal Bar Association, you acknowledge the contagious nature of COVID-19 and that you may be exposed to or infected by COVID-19, and that such exposure or infection may result in personal injury, illness, permanent disability, and death. By attending, you understand that the risk of becoming exposed to or infected by COVID-19 may result from the actions, omissions, or negligence of yourself and others, including, but not limited to FBA employees, volunteers, and sponsors.
- You further agree to absolutely release and hold harmless the Federal Bar Association, its members, directors, officers, employees, attorneys, agents and representatives arising from or in connection with any alleged negligent acts or omissions of those entities or individuals, from any and all claims and causes of action in any way related to attendance at an FBA event, including but not limited to any claims of negligent exposure.
- You also understand that you will be required to consent to this liability waiver, and acknowledge that in return you are receiving the benefit of being able to attend and/or participate in the Activity.
- You warrant that you are symptom-free and agree to adhere to any federal, state, or local health mandates, pandemic protocols, and guidelines in effect at the time of the event.
This Statement is intended to be as broad and inclusive as is permitted by law. If any part of this Statement is held to be invalid or legally unenforceable for any reason, the remainder of this provision shall not be affected thereby and shall remain valid and fully enforceable.
Email Communication Policy
By registering for this event, you agree to receive email communications from the Federal Bar Association and affiliated sponsors of the program concerning event details, Continuing Legal Education certification, programming changes, upcoming events, surveys, and post-event communications.
Photography & Video Release
Registrants, instructors, exhibitors, and guests attending FBA meetings agree they may be photographed and/or recorded during the event. Photographs and video content are the sole property of the FBA, which reserves the right to use attendees’ names and likenesses in promotional materials without providing monetary compensation.
