Message from the Chair
Rachel V. Rose – Attorney at Law, PLLC
Join the Division
Corporate and Association Counsel Division (CACD) is unique and, often times, people do not understand what exactly our Division does and who our members are. Unlike other groups, our membership includes corporations, private practice attorneys, government attorneys and not-for-profit associations. The issues that our membership deal with transcend into all other divisions and sections within the Federal Bar Association. One of the highlights of the CACD is our newsletter, which highlights the work of various members, contains amazing interviews with both business and government leaders, and spotlights recent case law. Overall, the CACD is dynamic and on the pulse of a multitude of issues that our membership addresses daily. We also welcome the active participation of judges, government attorneys, law professors, and law students.
- Publications: Members receive the division newsletter, Corporate Articles. As FBA members, you also receive The Federal Lawyer magazine, which includes the division’s periodic column, Corporate Type. Members interested in submitting an article for publication consideration should send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
- CLE/Events: The Division is continually looking to offer its members with substantive programs on current legal issues. Please check the Calendar page for a list of upcoming evenings.
- FBA Chapters: The Division works with local FBA Chapters and other FBA entities to host substantive programs, CLEs, and networking opportunities. FBA Chapters interested in exploring joint programs for current or prospective members of the Division and their Chapter should contact Andrew Efaw, Vice Chair, Chapter Liaison
- Leadership: The Division provides opportunities for members to take a more active role by participating on a committee (e.g. Publications or Programs), writing articles, serving as a Vice Chair, etc. If you are interested in applying for or nominating someone for a committee or other leadership position, please contact the Division Chair, Rachel Rose.
As always, we welcome any suggestions regarding services and resources you would like to see from the Division in the future. If you are already a Division member, I encourage you to be actively involved. Writing an article for Corporate Articles
is an excellent way to get your ideas published and your projects recognized. Proposing and working on CLE or other programs allows you to showcase your experience and talent. If you are not a Division member, please join us by using the link below. We would welcome your involvement in our dynamic group of professionals.
