The Lafayette/Acadiana chapter was chartered in 2002 starting out with just 20 members and has now grown to over 120 members . There are members from private practice, government agencies, military branches, local law schools and local courts in the Lafayette-Acadiana chapter. The chapter is committed to serving the needs of the federal practitioner employed or residing in Lafayette and the Acadiana area. Over the years the Chapter has helped to sponsor an Attorney’s Lounge in the Federal Courthouse for access to computers, coordinated and conducted seminars and receptions with the Federal Judiciary and assisted the displaced attorneys from the New Orleans Chapter as well as the Clerk’s Office for the Eastern District of Louisiana following Hurricane Katrina. Below you will find a listing of the chapter officers and chapter news.
