Alaska Chapter

Message from the President

The Alaska Chapter of the Federal Bar Association was formed in 2001 and currently has 76 members, including practitioners and judges from Anchorage, Southeast, and Interior Alaska. Our chapter was created to promote the Federal Bar Association’s mission in the Last Frontier. Our goal is to strengthen the federal legal system and the administration of justice in Alaska by serving the needs of federal practitioners, the federal judiciary, and the public. We provide our members with high quality and relevant continuing legal education programs (CLEs) and an annual conference.

Passing of Senior District Judge James A. von der Heydt

The Alaska Chapter of the Federal Bar Association extends its deepest condolences to the family and friends of Judge James von der Heydt.

Alaska Chapter Adds New Members

With the addition of eight new members since the end of 2012, the Alaska Chapter of the Federal Bar Association (FBA) has grown substantially. Five of the new members are also newly admitted attorneys to the Alaska Bar.
