DESCRIPTION:As part of our Annual Meeting and Convention this September\, our membership will share civil discourse skills and discuss constitutional issues with students in Miami-Dade County public high schools. On Sept. 22\, the day before the official start of the convention\, Judges and attorneys will participate in “Civil Discourse and the Constitution\,” an extension of the “Civil Discourse and Difficult Decisions” program in our Civics Education Toolkit\, developed by the Administrative Office of the U.S. Courts. Students will practice civility as a legal and life skill through candid conversations on the value of the rule of law in protecting their rights.
