On November 30, 2016, the South Florida Chapter hosted the Federal Bar Association\u2019s First Annual Art Law & Litigation Conference. Panelists ranged from artists to gallerists, and general counsel to federal judges. <\/p>\n

35th Annual Federal Judicial Reception<\/a><\/h4>\n

The South Florida Chapter was proud to host its 35th Annual Federal Judicial Reception. The event was attended by over 700 guests, including over 20 federal judges of the Southern District of Florida and other courts. <\/p>\n

2015 Annual Awards and Installation Dinner<\/a><\/h4>\n

On Friday, September 25, 2015, at the JW Marriott Marquis, the South Florida Chapter of the Federal Bar Association held its 2015 Installation Dinner. The event drew a fabulous turnout from our judiciary and local bar, and honored several chapter members who have dedicated their time and energy to our organization and the legal profession. <\/p>\n

October 2012 Bankers Club Luncheon<\/a><\/h4>\n

On October 10, 2012, the Federal Bar Association\u2019s South Florida Chapter hosted a panel discussion titled Narrowing the Field<\/i>, which featured current and past chairs of Florida\u2019s state-wide Federal Judicial Nominating Commission and its Southern District Conference.<\/p>\n

CREC Approved Legislative Changes <\/a><\/h4>\n

Please review the list of legislative changes that the Code and Rules of
\nEvidence Committee has approved. The Florida Bar mandates that,
\nbefore consideration by the Board of Governors and then the
\nlegislature, the proposed legislative changes must be circulated among
\nthe Bar committees and sections for comment. Therefore, please
\nreview these proposed changes and provide any comments by November 12, 2012. We
\nintend to present the the changes to the Board of Governors at their

This year\u2019s FBA Awards & Installation Dinner took place on September 13, 2012, at the JW Marriot Marquis. The Dinner neared maximum capacity and exceeded previous attendance records by more than 100 guests. Guests raved about the new venue for the event.<\/p>\n

The South Florida Chapter held its fourth Boardroom Lunch of the summer on September 13, 2012. The lunch featured Wifredo \u201cWilly\u201d Ferrer, the United States Attorney for the Southern District of Florida.<\/p>\n

May 2012 Bankers Club Luncheon<\/a><\/h4>\n

Each year, the Federal Bar Association\u2019s South Florida Chapter hosts luncheons at Bankers Club in downtown Miami in January, March, April, May, October, and November. This month\u2019s speaker was the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeal\u2019s newest member, Judge Adalberto Jordan.<\/p>\n
