{"id":3,"date":"2019-12-09T18:08:39","date_gmt":"2019-12-09T18:08:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.fedbar.org\/federal-litigation-section\/\/federal-litigation-section\/"},"modified":"2025-11-12T11:46:03","modified_gmt":"2025-11-12T16:46:03","slug":"fedlit","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.fedbar.org\/federal-litigation-section\/","title":{"rendered":"Federal Litigation Section"},"content":{"rendered":"<h4>Message from the Chair<\/h4>\n<p>My name is Jeff Burns, and it is an honor and privilege to serve as Chair of the Federal Litigation Section.\u202fThe Federal Litigation Section is the FBA\u2019s largest Section with more than 3,000 members.\u202f The purpose of the Federal Litigation Section is to further the purposes of the FBA and to concentrate on the fundamental practice of law in federal courts.\u202f We welcome both plaintiff and defense attorneys from a variety of fields.<\/p>\n<p>The Section is very active and there are plenty of ways to get involved. We publish a quarterly newsletter, SideBAR, which features articles from our members and announcements of relevant events.\u00a0 We welcome contributions and articles for publication in the newsletter. The Section receives frequent requests to sponsor or co-sponsor programs, to contribute to funding a reception or to underwrite all or a portion of activities by local chapters and affiliates of the FBA. We are always looking to partner with Chapters, other Sections, and Divisions, and to facilitate CLE programming events for Federal Bar Association members.
