SUMMARY:Southern District of Illinois Chapter: Fourth Annual Women in the Law Symposium
DESCRIPTION:On behalf of the Southern District of Illinois chapter of the Federal Bar Association\, I’d like to invite you and your colleagues to attend our fourth annual Women in the Law Symposium\, which will be held on March 5\, 2025\, from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the St. Clair Country Club\, 100 S. 78th Street\, Belleville\, IL 62223. This nationally recognized event is intended to offer valuable networking and educational opportunities for women who work in the legal profession\, but it is open to everyone. You do not have to be a woman or an attorney to attend. All are welcome\, including law students\, legal analysts\, paralegals\, legal assistants\, and other legal professionals.  \nThis year’s program features Judge Rosemarie Aquilina\, the Michigan state court judge who presided over the Larry Nassar sentencing hearing; Seventh Circuit Judge Amy St. Eve\, a Belleville native; and Mary Anne Sedey\, an accomplished trial lawyer and employment law specialist. This is also a great opportunity to meet the Honorable Staci M. Yandle\, SDIL’s new chief U.S. district court judge\, who will give brief opening remarks. \nThe doors open at 11:00 am. A lunch buffet will be served around noon\, and there will be an open bar. We will also be seeking 3.0 hours of CLE credit in Missouri and Illinois. \nIndividual tickets are on sale now and can be purchased through our Eventbrite page. The price for FBA members is $150; non-member tickets are $200.
