SUMMARY:Tampa Bay Chapter: Staying in the Game: How to Build Your Board of Directors
DESCRIPTION:The Tampa Bay Chapter is excited to host its Tenth Annual Staying in the Game on Wednesday\, September 18\, 2024\, at Hotel Flor in Downtown Tampa\, from 8:30 AM to 1:00 PM. This program promotes the retention of female and diverse attorneys in the legal field. This event will feature coffee and light pastries before a morning of CLE programming followed by a networking lunch. \nWe are honored to have incredible speakers\, including Florida Supreme Court Justice Renatha Francis\, Florida Second District Court of Appeal Judge Suzanne Labrit\, Chief of Tampa’s U.S. Attorney Civil Division Randy Harwell\, Associate General Counsel at Moffitt Cancer Center Zarra Elias\, Shareholder at Gunster Nathan Hill\, and In House Counsel at Home Shopping Network Shauna Burkes. In addition\, this program will include small group judicial roundtables with judges from the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit\, the Middle District of Florida\, Florida’s Second District Court of Appeal\, and the Thirteenth Judicial Circuit Hillsborough County. \nIn support of this year’s theme “How to Build Your Board of Directors\,” our engaging speakers will discuss how professionals of all backgrounds can build a support network to help advance their careers; what types of professionals were and are part of the speakers’ network; how those individuals differed in various ways; and what the speakers learned along their journey.
