She provides guidance on the structuring of scalable national and international telehealth companies\, including with respect to strategic growth\, entry markets\, state and international licensure issues\, acceptable telehealth modalities and practice standards\, privacy and data usage\, corporate practice of medicine prohibitions\, US Food and Drug Administration applications\, Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) waivers\, and regulatory changes in response to COVID-19 and its aftermath. \nNadia’s passion for the expansion and growth of telemedicine began in 1997\, when she co-created and helped launch one of Louisiana’s first teleradiology networks. In 2004\, the company merged with another teleradiology network located in Coeur d’Alene\, Idaho\, creating NightHawk\, the nation’s largest of its\nkind at the time\, with headquarters and offices in the Unite States\, Australia\, Germany\, and Switzerland. NightHawk Radiology went public in 2006\, and Nadia has since continued to provide strategic counsel to venture-backed entrepreneurs\, healthcare providers\, and hospital systems on digital health and telehealth service lines\, including international telehealth arrangements involving multistate and international licensure and scope-of-practice issues\, and on data security\, storage\, and usage. \nRanked Band 1 in Healthcare in Chambers USA\, Nadia is recognized by clients for her “cutting-edge information and advice regarding telemedicine affairs\, both domestic and international.” As a pioneer and thought leader\, Nadia is regularly sought out by industry publications and organizations for her insights on digital health\, telehealth\, and the vastly expanding market\, particularly in the wake of COVID-19. She is an active member of the American Telemedicine Association and numerous digital health associations where she routinely moderates and speaks at annual meeting and conference sessions. Nadia also serves as secretary of the Federal Bar Association’s Health Law Section for the 2024 term. \nKatie Dzurec  \nKatie Dzurec is a Director in the Health Consulting Division at Examination Resources\, LLC.  She has served as Assistant General Counsel for the DC Health Benefit Exchange Authority and as Senior Advisor to the Pennsylvania Insurance Commissioner. For over a decade\, Ms. Dzurec has helped lead efforts to address health coverage access and compliance issues.  In addition\, Ms. Dzurec has directed inter-agency and inter-state collaboration on mental health parity enforcement and compliance efforts.  She is regarded as a subject matter expert in the areas of healthcare reform\, mental health parity\, and health market conduct examinations. \nShe holds a B.A. degree in linguistics from the University of Oregon\, a law degree from the University of Oregon School of Law\, a Master of Public Administration degree from the University of Maine\, and a Master of Laws in Insurance from the University of Connecticut School of Law. She teaches an Insurance Regulation course at the UConn Law School during the fall semester\, and she resides in Washington\, DC\, with her daughter\, two dogs (Beezus and a greyhound named Dave the Dog)\, and a COVID rescue cat called Einstein. \nColin Howard\, Asante Health System \nColin Howard works as an associate general counsel at Asante\, a healthcare system based in southern Oregon. Prior to that role\, he worked in private practice focused largely on medical malpractice defense. He’s practiced law in four states: Maine\, where he went to law school\, Massachusetts\, where he began focuses on healthcare law\, California\, and now Oregon.
