DESCRIPTION:Attention all July 2024 bar preppers! Please join us for a one hour tips session presented by the FBA Law Student Division Board. Panelists will present evidence-based tips for how to boost your chances of success\, including the recommended number of hours\, active versus passive study techniques\, what to do if you must work while studying for the exam\, how to structure study time\, the importance of healthy eating\, sleep\, and exercise habits\, how to prepare for the day(s) of the exam\, and more. We hope to see you there and wish you luck! \n  \nPresented by the Law Student Division \nRegistration is Closed \n\nPresenters\nAkiesha Anderson \nAkiesha Anderson is a licensed attorney and Alabama State Bar Exam grader who serves as the Policy and Advocacy Director with Alabama Arise in Montgomery\, Alabama. She is also the owner of Anderson Admissions Academy\, which is a law school admission consulting company. Prior to her job at Alabama Arise\, she served as Chief of Staff with the House Minority Leader of the Alabama Legislature\, as Policy Director for Alabama Appleseed Center for Law and Justice\, as Associate Director of Admissions for UCLA School of Law in Los Angeles\, and as a Federal Policy Attorney at The Williams Institute at UCLA School of Law. As a graduate of Alabama Law\, as a law student she was Student Notes Editor for the Alabama Civil Rights and Civil Liberties Law Review\, Editor in Chief of SRBLA’s Southern Journal for Policy & Justice\, Vice President for OutLaw\, a member of BLSA\, and BLSA’s Southern Region Attorney General. She also received a Certificate in Governmental Affairs. Between college and law school\, Ms. Anderson served in the following roles: Public Relations Clerk for the Montgomery County Commission; Special Projects Team Member in U.S. Congresswoman Terri Sewell’s Office; Site Director and Volunteer Coordinator for ProWorld Volunteer Corps; and Field Operations Supervisor and Regional CCM Quality Assurance Crew Leader for the U.S. Department of Commerce. Also prior to law school\, Ms. Anderson earned her B.A. in Sociology and Business Management from Alabama State University as well as her Masters in Public Administration (MPA) from Auburn University Montgomery. \nProfessor Catherine Bramble \nCatherine Bramble is an associate professor of law at the Brigham Young University J. Reuben Clark Law School\, specializing in writing\, advocacy\, and bar preparation coursework. Recently\, Professor Bramble taught as a visiting professor at the University of Utah S.J. Quinney College of Law\, overseeing the U’s bar preparatory program\, before returning to BYU this past year. Since 2020\, Professor Bramble has served as a member of the Utah Supreme Court Working Group on Attorney Licensure. \nProfessor Bramble graduated summa cum laude from the J. Reuben Clark Law School in 2005\, where she served as an editor for the BYU Law Review and competed on BYU Law School’s National Trial Advocacy team. Following law school\, Professor Bramble worked as a pre-law advisor and later as a director of preprofessional advisement at BYU\, then spent eight years as a practicing attorney\, and subsequently returned to academia as a professor of law. \nMeg Glasmann \nMeg is an attorney licensed to practice in Utah. She is currently serving as Treasurer for the FBA Law Student Division and previously held the role of 10th Circuit Representative on the LSD board. Before law school\, she completed two master’s degrees in educational psychology and competed as a Division I NCAA javelin thrower for the University of Utah and Stanford University.
