SUMMARY:New Orleans: Evenings with the FBA: Sydney and Walda Besthoff Sculpture Garden
DESCRIPTION:Description\nPlease join the New Orleans Chapter of the FBA for an after-hours tour of the expanded Sydney and Walda Besthoff Sculpture Garden at the New Orleans Museum of Art on March 11 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. In 2019\, NOMA expanded the existing Sculpture Garden by six acres\, adding in many contemporary 21st-century sculptures inspired by the space and located in the open lawn\, under tree canopies\, across open water\, on cypress islands\, and within understory planting\, all connected by pedestrian bridges designed to complement the landscape. We hope you’ll join us as the FBA continues the tradition of exploring local\, non-legal subjects after work. Meet at Café NOMA inside the main museum at 5:30 for a glass of wine or champagne\, to be followed by a tour of the Sculpture Garden led by Katie A. Pfohl\, NOMA’s Curator of Modern and Contemporary Art. \nCost\n$25 \nCLE\n0 \nEvent Contact\nAmanda Kaiser at (504) 589-7990 or akaiser@nofba.org \n
