DESCRIPTION:This will be a panel discussion of the efforts to recover stolen artwork by the Nazis during WWII. \n\nRICHARD ARONOWITZ—Global Head of Restitution for Christies\nJUDGE SIMON FRANKEL—San Francisco Superior Court. Prior the joining the bench\, he litigated cases involving the return of art.\nPATRICK RYAN—attorney at Bartko LLP who has been involved in litigation to recover stolen art.\nKARREN SHOROFSKY—Professor at the University of San Francisco\, Museum Studies Graduate Program & School of Law. Prof. Shorofsky has spent most of her own law career focused on legal issues related to the arts\, technology\, and museums and other nonprofit institutions.
