Her work focuses on emerging regulation\, responsible AI practices\, and the intersection of AI with intellectual property\, privacy\, and ethics. She is also the AI Ethics Responsible Officer for Sony AI\, a research lab dedicated to pursuing groundbreaking research in AI\, including ethics\, entertainment\, imaging and sensing\, and robotics. She is a graduate of Georgia Tech and the University of Washington School of Law and a busy mom of three. \n  \n\n  \n\n \nJohn H. Zacharia\, Founder\, Zacharia Law PLLC. \nJohn H. Zacharia is the Founder of Zacharia Law PLLC\, a law firm dedicated to helping clients combat cyber theft and protect and enforce their intellectual property (IP) rights. On behalf of his clients\, he has made successful referrals of intellectual property crimes to law enforcement and public prosecutors\, and he secured one of the largest contributory trademark counterfeiting awards in U.S. history. Previously\, John was the Assistant Deputy Chief for Litigation of the Computer Crime and Intellectual Property Section (CCIPS) of the United States Department of Justice’s Criminal Division\, where he became one of the most experienced federal prosecutors of IP crime in the country. Notably\, John prosecuted and obtained jury verdicts in one of the largest counterfeit goods prosecutions in U.S. history\, and he successfully argued for and defended the convictions before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit. John also secured a number of “first of its kind” convictions\, including the first[1]ever conviction and sentencing of a cyberlocker operator\, and the first-ever prosecution and conviction for criminal copyright infringement of mobile device applications (“apps”). John is a globally recognized expert in IP law and policy\, having worked directly with and trained law enforcement officials from over sixty countries. John has spoken and written extensively about the impact of artificial intelligence on IP\, and he co-authored the “Study on the Impact of Artificial Intelligence on the Infringement and Enforcement of Copyright and Designs\,” which was published by the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO). John also teaches Intellectual Property Criminal Law at the George Washington University School of Law \n \nAdam Foster Lewental\,Head of US IP\, Esq.\,Thales Cyber and Digital. \nAdam Lewental is a seasoned intellectual property strategist and attorney currently serving as the Head of US IP at Thales DIS. Based in France\, he leads a multi-disciplinary team in managing IP prosecution\, transactions\, and litigation. Adam specializes in the intellectual property lifecycles of emerging technologies across Thales DIS’s broad product offerings\, including 5G\, AI\, cryptography\, and blockchain.
