Amee began her engineering career as a naval architect/engineer at General Dynamics – Electric Boat and her legal career at Holland & Knight LLP. She later practiced as a solo practitioner. In 2005\, she joined the USPTO as a Primary Examiner before moving to the PTAB\, where she presided over ex parte appeals and inter partes reviews across a broad range of technologies. \nShe holds a B.S. degree in both naval architecture and marine engineering from the Webb Institute and a J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center \n \nSteven Theriault\, Attorney\, DLA Piper. \nSteven Theriault is an incoming patent litigation attorney at DLA Piper with 21 years of experience at the United States Patent and Trademark Office. During his tenure at the USPTO\, he served as a Patent Trial and Appeal Board extern and detailee\, a reexamination specialist\, and a primary examiner in the areas of autonomous vehicles and graphical user interfaces. Drawing on this background\, he provides analysis on the recent revisions to the Examiner PAP\, the evolving use of AI tools by examiners\, and the resulting implications for examiner production expectations. \n \nScott Kelly\, Attorney. \nScott Kelly specializes in patent and IP counseling\, particularly in cybersecurity and FinTech. Representing a range from startups to Fortune 100 companies\, he has managed significant patent portfolios with a focus on software technologies like artificial intelligence\, cloud computing\, mobile devices\, and internet security.
