DESCRIPTION:**Program hosted in (ET) Time Zone** \nThis is part one of a four-part series detailing the ins and outs\, and the ups and downs of using one’s law credentials in international employment.  This webinar will address opportunities in the international civil service and non-governmental organizations.  The experts in this panel have worked in the specific field and will share the application process\, how to find opportunities\, and answer questions posed by participants to give practical information on entering the work force in the United Nations and international NGOs.  They will share the challenges and provide a framework to assist interested candidates to appreciate the unique system associated with opportunities in the United Nations and International NGO employment world. \nRegister Now!\nPresented by the Federal Bar Association’s International Law Section \n\nPresenters\n \nDr. Curtis F.J. Doebbler  \nCurtis Doebbler is Research Professor of Law at the Department of Law at the University of Makeni in Sierra Leone. He is also proprietor of The Law Office of Dr Curtis FJ Doebbler in San Antonio\, Texas\, USA\, which represents individuals and groups pro bono in cases involving human rights as well as advises governmental\, non-governmental\, and inter-governmental entities on public international law. His publications include the Dictionary of Public International Law published by Rowman & Littlefield (USA) and International Human Rights Law: Cases and Materials published by the Tashkent State Institute of Law (Uzbekistan) and CD Publishing (India). \n  \n  \n  \n \nFrancesca Braga \nFrancesca Braga holds a five-year Law degree (Laurea Magistrale in Giurisprudenza) and two LLMs in International Crime and Justice. She brings over seven years of professional experience in civil and criminal law. She is a qualified lawyer and a member of the Italian Bar Association and the Federal Bar Association (USA). Her expertise lies in international criminal law\, human rights\, and advocating for vulnerable groups\, including LGBT people and refugee children. She extensively collaborated with UN bodies\, NGOs\, and international organizations across Southeast Asia\, the USA\, and Europe\, which underpins her global perspective and adaptability. \nFrancesca writes articles for Amnesty International Italy and the Federal Lawyer\, and usually participates as a speaker at national and international conferences. \n  \n  \n \nCol (USAF\, Ret) Linda Strite Murnane (Moderator) \nUniversity of Cincinnati College of Law\, J.D. 1981 \nLinda recently completed two years as an Associate Justice serving on the High Court of the Republic of the Marshall Islands.  Her previous judicial experience included ten consecutive years as a military judge and chief circuit military judge for the United States Air Force.  She served in a variety of United Nations positions at the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia\, including service in Trial Chamber 3 as the Senior Legal Officer\, three years as the Chief Court Management Services\, and short terms as the Acting Head of Chambers and Acting Deputy Registrar.  She also served three years as the Chief\, Court Management Services at the Special Tribunal for Lebanon. \nShe currently serves on the Board of Governors for the American Bar Association (ABA) and American Judges Association (AJA) and is the co-District Director for District 7 of the National Association of Women Judges (NAWJ).  She previously served as Chair of the ABA Judicial Division and National Conference of Specialized Court Judges\, as the Chair of the ABA Standing Committee on Armed Forces Law\, and as an ABA UN Representative and Special Observer.  She served on the ABA International Law Section’s Executive Council for six years.  She is an ABA Sustaining Life Fellow\, and a past recipient of the Margaret Brent Women Lawyers of Achievement and International Law Section’s Mayre Rasmussen Award. \nJustice Murnane is the editor of “Women’s Voices: A Global Perspective on the Right to Vote”\, and is a chapter contributor to “Her Honor” both published by ABA Publications. \nShe is a retired colonel in the United States Air Force and is married to Kevin M.
