Casson\, Managing Partner\, Northern Virginia Immigration Law Firm\, PLLC\n \nBrian P. Casson is a cofounder and the Managing Partner of the Northern Virginia Immigration Law Firm\, PLLC in Falls Church\, VA. Mr. Casson’s fearless advocacy and legal acumen have earned him the respect of clients and colleagues alike. He is recognized as a leading immigration attorney in the DC Metropolitan Area and has been both appointed and elected to serve in leadership roles with the DC Chapter of the American Immigration Lawyer’s Association (AILA) from 2017 to present\, currently serving in the Chair Elect role. The Northern Virginia Immigration Law Firm offers full-service immigration representation\, and Mr. Casson focuses his practice on removal defense\, asylum\, family-based immigration\, and appellate matters. \n\n\n\n\nKatharine Gordon\, Senior Attorney\, Detained Adult Program at the Capital Area Immigrants’ Rights Coalition \nKatharine Gordon is a senior attorney with the Detained Adult Program at the Capital Area Immigrants’ Rights Coalition\, where she focuses her representation on individuals with mental health disabilities. Previous to this\, she worked responding to the previous administration’s “Migrant Protection Protocols” policies which prevented asylum seekers from meaningfully exercising their right to request protection under international and federal law. She also worked as a child advocate with unaccompanied minors detained by the Office of Refugee Resettlement. Before shifting to immigration advocacy\, she worked with the American Diabetes Association’s national legal advocate program\, where she helped people across the country fight discrimination in employment\, education\, public accommodations\, correctional facilities\, and interactions with law enforcement.
