SUMMARY:Dayton Chapter Event: State of the Court
DESCRIPTION:The State of the Court event includes presentations by judges regarding relevant events from 2022 regarding the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Ohio and what is expected in 2023\, including changes to the various sets of federal rules. The speakers include Chief Judge Algenon L. Marbley\, District Judge Michael J. Newman\, Magistrate Judge Peter B. Silvain\, Jr.\, and Bankruptcy Judge Guy R. Humphrey. It has been approved for 1.0 general hours of CLE credit by the Ohio Supreme Court and\, immediately following the program\, attendees will be able to attend a luncheon at the courthouse\, with boxed lunches/salads catered by Dorothy Lane Market. Speakers will highlight common concerns as well as ethical situations and issues unique to each area\, referencing both the Model Rules and differing states’ requirements. Palmer Lambert is a partner with Pendley\, Baudin\, & Coffin\, L.L.P.\, joining the firm in 2022.  Palmer is engaged in general civil litigation practice primarily focused on representation of plaintiffs in mass torts\, MDLs and class actions. He currently serves as Plaintiffs’ Co-Liaison Counsel in the Taxotere MDL pending in the Eastern District of Louisiana and as a member of Court-appointed leadership in the 3M Earplugs MDL in the Northern District of Florida. Palmer has also litigated catastrophic injury claims\, products liability matters\, complex vehicular collisions\, medical malpractice claims\, appeals and general casualty claims. \nA lifelong Louisianan\, Palmer attended Tulane University and earned Mechanical Engineering (B.S.)\, Master of Business Administration and Juris Doctor degrees. He is a member of the NOBA Inn of Court\, serves on the YLD Board of Directors for the New Orleans Chapter of the Federal Bar Association\, and serves on the Board of Directors of the New Orleans Bar Association.
