Dear EENR Section Members:<\/p>\n
It is a privilege to serve as Chair of the Federal Bar Association\u2019s Section on Environment, Energy, and Natural Resources for Fiscal Year 2025\u20132026. I am honored to lead the Section this year and to work alongside a committed leadership team dedicated to reactivating the Section. Together, we look forward to advancing the Section\u2019s mission to promote excellence, education, and engagement.<\/p>\n
Our Section encompasses a broad and dynamic range of substantive practice areas including environmental compliance and litigation, climate and energy regulation, natural resource management, sustainability policy, and beyond. This diversity of focus and perspective is a defining strength of our Section and enables us to serve as a forum for dialogue, scholarship, and professional development across many practice focuses.<\/p>\n
In the year ahead, our objectives are clear: to reconnect our members with the Section\u2019s community and programs; to deliver timely, substantive updates on key developments in environmental, energy, and natural resources law; and to foster mentorship and professional collaboration among Section members. Through these efforts, we aim to ensure that the Section remains a valuable resource and a unifying platform for practitioners, government attorneys, academics, and students alike.<\/p>\n
But the Section cannot thrive without participation. So, I invite all members who wish to become more involved in the Section\u2019s work to engage with the leadership team. There are opportunities to contribute to program planning, create content for newsletters and legal updates, author articles or commentaries on recent developments, participate in Section committees, or assist with outreach and membership initiatives. If you are interested in becoming more involved with your EENR Section, please contact any member of the Section\u2019s leadership team.<\/p>\n
Finally, as we begin this new fiscal year, please take a moment to confirm that your FBA membership and Section membership are current. With the transition to the FBA\u2019s new database, those with automatic renewal must reconfirm this setting, and members are asked to create new login credentials and renew to remain active participants in the Section and the FBA.<\/p>\n
The coming year presents a unique opportunity to revitalize our Section and reaffirm its role as a leader in advancing the practice of environmental, energy, and natural resources law. I look forward to working with each of you as we renew our shared commitment to the mission of our Section and the FBA.<\/p>\n
