“Three Months Later: Understanding and Applying the Federal Rule
Amendments Regarding E-Discovery
Time: Noon-2 p.m.
Location: Army Navy Country Club, Arlington, Virginia.
Speakers: Judge Facciola of the U.S. District Court for D.C. and Judge
Jones of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia
will sit on a panel to discuss the recent amendments to the Federal Rules
of Civil Procedure.
Cost: $30 members; $35 nonmembers

Annual "Introduction to the Courthouse" Program
Time: 1–4 p.m.; Preceding this program will be a special admissions
ceremony before the judges of the Alexandria Division.
Location: U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia, Alexandria
Division
Speakers: judges, the clerk's office, the Fourth Circuit, the Bankruptcy
Court, the U.S. attorney's office, the U.S. Marshal for the District,
the public defender's office and local practitioners
The program will concentrate on helpful hints for new lawyers to learn
the ways of the "Rocket Docket" and how to navigate within the
Alexandria Courthouse. A reception will follow the program.
