Wine Lover's Dream Foursome

Donated by Joyce Kitchens

These four wines represent the best from four of the world’s premier wine regions, with an approximate retail value of $275.

From the Veneto region of Italy, the 2000 Tommasi Amarone is a red wine mad from Italian Corvina, Rondinella, & Molinara grapes which have been picked and left to dry on racks for five months before vinification. This wine is beyond full-bodied, slightly bittersweet, and should be uncorked and decanted several hours before consuming. Amarone is unlike any other wine, and is a great accompaniment to red meat.

The 1999 Cos D’Estournel from the Saint Estephe appellation in the Bordeaux region of France is made primarily from Cabernet Sauvignon, blended with Merlot and Cabernet Franc grapes. This wine is full bodied and tannic in the classic Bordeaux style, and can be aged for a number of years.

The 2002 Louis Latour Chassagne-Montrachet from France is a classic white burgundy made from 100% chardonnay grapes. The Morgeot vineyard is one of the top vineyards in Chassagne-Montrachet, and this wine will be perfectly balanced with a slight hint of oak. This wine can be enjoyed now or put away for a special occasion.

The 2002 Shafer Cabernet Sauvignon is the California version of a Bordeaux wine combining Cabernet Sauvignon with Merlot and Cabernet Frank grapes. Shafer consistently produces quality wines, and this wine can be aged for a number of years. One idea is to have a comparative tasting of the Cos D’Estournel and the Shafer. Draw your own conclusions as to which country makes the best wine.

Atlanta Braves tickets

Donated by Chris Parker, Freeman Mathis & Gary, LLP

Atlanta is the home of the Braves!
While there will be plenty to do in the ATL during the 2007 Annual Meeting, no visit would be complete without a visit to Turner Field to see the Braves in action. Up for auction are four (4) dugout level seats and an accompanying parking pass in a reserved lot next to the stadium. While the Major League Baseball schedule for 2007 has not yet been released, the ticket package will be for a game coinciding with or adjoining the annual meeting. If there are multiple games during the convention, best efforts will be exercised to give the winner a choice. In the unlikely event the Braves are traveling during the convention, the winner will be given a choice of any other regular season home game or a return of the bid price.
