The Chicago Chapter of the FBA has over 400 members and consistently offers a wide variety of programs and events of interest to attorneys engaged in federal practice.

The Chicago Chapter of the Federal Bar Association presents: 12 Ways to Lose a Trial

Every day, lawyers sabotage their own cases at trial for a variety of reasons. Trial judges have a front-row seat to the mistakes lawyers make and how those mistakes impact their cases. Chief Judge Ruben Castillo of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois moderates a distinguished panel of federal judges as they share their observations of the 12 sure-fire ways that lawyers lose trials--and how to avoid them. The panel joining Chief Judge Castillo is comprised of U.S. District Judges Sharon Johnson Coleman, Thomas Durkin, Ronald Guzman, and Virginia Kendall.
